The son of a buffalo connoisseur, Ryan has tasted hot sauces from around the world. He enjoys his wings extra saucy and, where heat is never a bad thing, he can appreciate the taste of a good sauce! Returning for his second consecutive wing crawl, Ryan has planned out a new route this year that requires less backtracking and will allow him to travel efficiently through all 13 stops!
Chris Rewak, 38, private practice attorney, connoisseur of craft and cheap beer, and current Lorain County resident (It’s not that bad). Superpowers include getting easily distracted and thinking of witty comebacks 5 seconds after a person walks away. When it comes to wing flavors, he is open to either sauce or dry rubs, leaning towards variations on buffalo or BBQ. He prefers wing parts in the following order: whole, drumette, flats; He intentionally left out the tips, they don’t count. Honored to be a judge and bring his 35 years – He had to get his teeth first – of wing eating experience, along with his good judgment, wise friends, and an ability to eat way too many wings to the 2017 Pillars Lakewood Wing Crawl!
Katie has lived in Lakewood for the past 7 years and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Having participating in the wing crawl with friends since it started, she looks forward to it every year and even brought her friends from Germany to attend last year! Yes, she made the wing crawl an international event! Katie’s favorite wing is a well cooked, crispy wing. She love sauces and dry rubs and couldn’t be more excited to be Judge this year!
